Footprints in Time

Two young lovers, Walking on the sand,
Gazing at each other, Talking hand in hand,
The prints they leave behind them,
Marking memories of the past,
The long beach laid before them,
Hoping love will last,
The ocean captures the footprints,
And erases them from the shore,
Taking with it remembrances,
And leaving them with more,

Many years have passed,
Time flies when you're having fun,
And before you know it innocence fades,
And the teen years are done,
Now she's back on the beach,
Except she is alone,
Watching and waiting,
For the love that hadn't grown,
She walks along the ocean,
Two footprints, not four,
Wondering where the laughter went,
Why he didn't love her more,
Then she stops to sit,
And draws his name in the sand,
A celestial stranger comes along,
And reaches out a hand,
Hesitantly she takes it,
And he listens to her cries,
He's been there before,
He's heard many lies,
They decide to walk,
And she follows, not knowing why,

Love will always be reborn again,
Even if it may die,
She is more cautious than before,
And as she looks back at the footprints,
She smiles seeing not two, but four,
This time will be different,
Her heart trying to say,
Something magical happened,
She felt it the first day,
Something clicked when they touched,
A jolt from inside,
She knew he'd be there always,
If she had something to confide,

Now here it is twenty years later,
And his love for her,
Is now even greater,
He looks at her like the first time they met,
And despite all the years gone by,
They can never forget,
Those four special footprints,
That are never washed away,
They'll stay forever on her heart,
Until their dying day.

Why can't we Just be Friends?

I need to know if you're my true friend,
will you be by my side until the end?

Can I tell you my secrets deep,
and trust them in your heart you'll keep?

We are neither of us without our flaws,
can you accept mine as I will yours?

I'll be a shoulder to cry on when you're blue,
will you be there for me when I need you?

No matter how busy I will make time for you,
if you are busy will you make time for me too?

I will take your hand and comfort your tears,
will you hold me and soothe my fears?

I will give you joy and many warm smiles,
can we share that even across many miles?

I will not forget what's important to you,
will you remember what's important to me too?

With you my most favorite things I'll share,
If only I know do you truly care?

If you can accept me as I accept you...

We Belong Together

I want to be with you forever

I knew I loved you before I met you

I have no idea why I felt this way

And now since we’ve met, I started to be afraid

What if I lose you…. I started to love you even more

You seem sincere, I wish to spend my life with you through

Whatever I love you so much.

With you, I feel secure

Your are the amazing thing that ever happens to me

Together with you are the happiest moment of all
I love you… I guess we belong together

How I Wish You Were Here

Time   keeps  passing  as  days  turn  into nights
I  sit  here  alone  in  the dark, not turning,
on any  lights
How  I  wish  you were  here,
to  be  by  my side
To   share  each  day  with  me, and be my guide

But   you're  so far away  and I can't feel ,
your  touch, I only  have  your love,
that  I cherish  so  much
My   heart  keeps you  deeply inside each day
As   you  are  with me  in spirit  as time passes away

But  yet  I long  to hold  you and feel you,
next to me , As  the  days  pass by,
that  is all I want  to see
How  I  wish you were here
just  to  hold  me tight
Share  time with me and lay next to me at night

How  many days and nights must pass us by
Sometimes  I  can't  stop the tears,
I seem  to cry
I  want  you here with  me ,
to show me you care
Another  night  without you ,
sometimes  I  feel  I can't  bare

I  want  our  life  spent  together for the ,
rest  of  our  days , But  time is passing us by,
in  so  many  many ways
How  I  wish you were here ,
is  all  I  can think  about
For  without  you beside me ,
I  feel   so  left  out

Please  come  home soon ,
so  I  can  feel  your touch
How  I  wish  you were here ,
thats  all  I  want  so much.

Love's Philosphy

The fountains mingle with the river,
And the rivers with the ocean;
The winds of heaven mix forever
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single;
All things by a law divine
In another's being mingle--
Why not I with thine?
See, the mountains kiss high heaven,
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister flower could be forgiven
If it disdained its brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth,
And the moonbeams kiss the sea;--
What are all these kissings worth,
If thou kiss not me?

The Love I Found In You

True love never saw the light
Each and every one word that was said never feel true…
Until I met you!
My world was black and gray
And day was alone and unexciting day….
Until I met you!
At the moment I have seen the glow and
Every word sounds right!
My world is lovely and my day is dazzling….
All because I found of you!
I love you and present be no disappearing back
I never wish for to let go,
I searched everlastingly
And found love never,
I don't know what else to say
But each night and each day you seize my breath away
Thank you for you love and care
The love I found in you is so very rare!

A Girl You Should Date

Date a girl who reads. Date a girl who spends her money on books instead of clothes. She has problems with closet space because she has too many books. Date a girl who has a list of books she wants to read, who has had a library card since she was twelve. Find a girl who reads. You’ll know that she does because she will always have an unread book in her bag. She’s the one lovingly looking over the shelves in the bookstore, the one who quietly cries out when she finds the book she wants. You see the weird chick sniffing the pages of an old book in a second hand book shop? That’s the reader. They can never resist smelling the pages, especially when they are yellow.
She’s the girl reading while waiting in that coffee shop down the street. If you take a peek at her mug, the non-dairy creamer is floating on top because she’s kind of engrossed already. Lost in a world of the author’s making. Sit down. She might give you a glare, as most girls who read do not like to be interrupted. Ask her if she likes the book.
Buy her another cup of coffee.
Let her know what you really think of Murakami. See if she got through the first chapter of Fellowship. Understand that if she says she understood James Joyce’s Ulysses she’s just saying that to sound intelligent. Ask her if she loves Alice or she would like to be Alice.
It’s easy to date a girl who reads. Give her books for her birthday, for Christmas and for anniversaries. Give her the gift of words, in poetry, in song. Give her Neruda, Pound, Sexton, Cummings. Let her know that you understand that words are love. Understand that she knows the difference between books and reality but by god, she’s going to try to make her life a little like her favorite book. It will never be your fault if she does.
She has to give it a shot somehow.
Lie to her. If she understands syntax, she will understand your need to lie. Behind words are other things: motivation, value, nuance, dialogue. It will not be the end of the world.
Fail her. Because a girl who reads knows that failure always leads up to the climax. Because girls who understand that all things will come to end. That you can always write a sequel. That you can begin again and again and still be the hero. That life is meant to have a villain or two.
Why be frightened of everything that you are not? Girls who read understand that people, like characters, develop. Except in the Twilight series.
If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are.
You will propose on a hot air balloon. Or during a rock concert. Or very casually next time she’s sick. Over Skype.
You will smile so hard you will wonder why your heart hasn’t burst and bled out all over your chest yet. You will write the story of your lives, have kids with strange names and even stranger tastes. She will introduce your children to the Cat in the Hat and Aslan, maybe in the same day. You will walk the winters of your old age together and she will recite Keats under her breath while you shake the snow off your boots.
Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads.
Or better yet, date a girl who writes.
