Nameless

Did you pass him on the street today,
Did you smile and say hello.

Did you wonder what his name was,
or everyday, where did he go.

Does he have someone to love him,
To talk to and reminisce.

Does he live alone with his memories,
Does he dream of his darling's sweet kiss.

The body now is old and bent,
And he shuffles along his way.

He's jostled by the rushing crowd,
They haven't got all day !

Spare a thought as you pass him by,
That nameless sad old man,

And always remember....
Today is part of tomorrow's memories,

Chase your rainbows, and even if you
don't catch them,
You may enjoy the journey.

Be happy and give happiness,
Love and be loved.
